Is it strange to fall in love with notebooks, envelopes and paper?

Every once in a while I discover something beautiful, something that inspires me and makes me feel good. It can be anything, but right now I've fallen in love with O-Check Design Graphics, a Korean brand. Their collection of stationery is so simple and beautiful, but also functional. Even the photography is oh so inspiring; everything looks so lovely and somewhat peaceful.

yay for homework?!

My decision to go to a graphic design class was a good one! I'm learning a lot and even enjoying my homework... well, most of the time that is :) The photoshop part has just ended, but I'm still struggling to visualize exactly what's in my head. And since I'm such a perfectionist this is sometimes really annoying! It's all about practice, practice and even some more practice. So guess what I'll be doing these days?

Lately I haven't spend much time on crafting. My days were filled with other things, but also I didn't feel much like making my regular things. I don't know why but they don't satisfy me anymore at the moment. Maybe my taste has changed? Anyway, after a couple of weeks without craft but with ideas buzzing in my head, I suddenly felt the need to make something. I took a plain notebook and started to decorate it. And it was fun, just doing something you like without any pressure. And my notebook is a lot nicer :)

graphic design museum

Last week I went to the Graphic Design Museum in Breda. I never visited this museum before so I was really curious. It was a nice, pretty small museum. My favourite part was their Dutch Design Database which shows how the profession has developed. But I also enjoyed Credit on Color: thousands of credit cards, free cards, discount cards and credit card look-alikes on one wall, arranged by colour like a rainbow of cards. And of course I had to visit their shop with lots of interesting books and design products. But I ended up buying only this pencil and card :)
