short hair = new hat

Mijn haar werd weer eens kort geknipt,
en toen ik buiten stond na de knipbeurt
vond ik het toch wel erg koud.
Tijd voor een muts dus!

En wat voor een :) Kwam ik hier tegen.

------------------------------

My hair is short again,
so I decided I needed a hat
to keep me warm.

And I found this one!

paper love

Mooie papieren zakjes kan ik nooit weerstaan.
Maar ach, voor 15 cent per stuk is dat niet zo erg.

-----------------------------

Lovely paper bags I can never resist.
But they were only 15 cents, so that doesn't harm anyone.

Beter op tijd....

wrapping style

Luckily there are still shops that wrap up your present nicely.

Aah, how I wish I could open it now,
but I really, really should wait till my birthday.

spoonful : a happiness companion

Who couldn't use a little happiness companion?

Recently I stumbled upon this new zine Spoonful. I bought it before I even knew what it was! It turned out to be a small, inspiring publication about, well, everyday things that can make you happy. Suits me perfectly :) And also important, this zine is a joy to browse through: thick, colourful paper with lovely illustrations.

Hop over to spoonful to see for yourself!

nice finds

Sometimes perfect things aren't hard to find.
They just pop up somewhere sometime.

something lovely arrived

Finally I got Camilla Engman's book! It is truly fantastic and makes me pretty happy. And look at all the extra things that came with it! This is exactly how books should look like :) The best part is, it's part of a new series by Uppercase called The Suitcase Series, so I can't wait to see who they'll feature next.

two diaries?!

Yes, I'm aware that you don't need two diaries for 2010, but I really, really couldn't resist this diary with drawings from Russian children's book. I tried, but I just couldn't! At first I saw it at a bookstore, but didn't buy it. Then I saw it again at another store, but didn't buy it. A couple of weeks later I stumbled upon it again at the Hermitage in Amsterdam.... and this time I was weak. And now I'm thinking what to do with two diaries :D This one is almost too beautiful to use!

random observations

Somehow my new diary for 2010 and favourite pen match surprisingly well. I only have to wait till this year is over to use them together :)

Have you ever seen a button tree?

The reason I bought this wooden tree was because it would be perfect for displaying my buttons at a craft fair. But now I think I'll keep it in my living room, because I totally fell in love with it! Maybe I can use it as a Christmas tree, or transform it into a birthday tree with my new little buntings, or use it for Easter.....endless possibilities!
