A special must-see-monday today: the Sunday Spring Market!

If you’re in Amsterdam next Sunday you really should visit the Sunday Spring Market. This is a new art, fashion and design market in Westerpark with lots of handmade products, organic food, artwork and entertainment.

And yes, there is a mamutopia stall too! Last days I’ve been extremely busy to prepare myself and I hardly have time for anything else. It’s my first time at a market, so I’m really excited but nervous too. Luckily it’s only a couple of minutes from my home, so I can bring all my stuff by foot :) I still need some nice, sunny weather though, but the forecasts are looking good!

My to-do list seems to be endless, so I don’t know if I have time to update my blog this week. And my birthday is coming up too (almost forgot about that because of all the market stuff!), so there are also lots of cupcakes to bake and a little party to attend :)

crafty girls flyer

Recently I bought a spot on the Crafty Girls Cross Promotion Flyer.
Craftygirls is a Dutch website and every now and then they publish a flyer with some general information and advertisements of different 'crafty girls'. I really like how they turned out!
Now I need to spread the word, because I have a whole pile of flyers lying here :)

must-see-monday : GigiMinor

After a cold winter, it's finally getting a little bit warmer here and we even had a couple of sunny days too. So I decided to look for a spring themed must-see-monday: GigiMinor. Her colourful pins and pincushion sets make you feel it's spring already :) And they remind me of my own sewing machine... which I haven't used it in a long time... hmm, maybe I should start again?

Dick Bruna

My public library had an exhibition about Dick Bruna. Some of you (definitely all the Dutch) might know him from Nijntje or Miffy. But what I didn't know was he also designed a lot of book covers and this exhibition showed 2000 of them! It was fun to look at and I took some photos of my favourites. There were even a couple of Moomin books.

must-see-monday : bake it pretty

One of my favourite things to do is baking cupcakes or cookies. There's only one problem, what to do with all those yummy goodness? I can eat one, maybe two, my boyfriend eats one or two, but that's it. So most of the time I'll only bake at special occassions and meanwhile I'll just browse through shops with baking supplies.

Bake It Pretty is a shop I discovered recently. They sell anything from baking cups, cookie cutters, candy molds and tags and labels. I really like their packaging section and can't wait to see their new spring items. Oh and don't forget to read the blog!
